In the Spring of 2021, I developed this Adobe Captivate module to explain the Bill of Rights to fifth grade students. The module is aligned with Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills standards (TEKS). The module is broken into two sections to separate and organize information.
The first section explores each of the amendments in the Bill of Rights. Learners are able to click on each amendment and spend as much time as they need studying the information. This section also includes a video that explains the Bill of Rights in more detail. The section ends with a quiz that has users match the correct amendment number to the correct right laid out by the Bill of Rights.
The second section appears once learners have mastered the order of amendments. This section focuses on scenario based learning. It shows learners a picture and gives them a scenario via audio. The audio for this section was produced by myself. Learners are to listen to the scenario and decide if the person's rights were protected or violated. If Users choose the incorrect answers the module will give them immediate feedback as to which right was violated or protected and the reasoning behind it.
