This course was delivered in person at the Digital Learning Conference in Cypress Fairbanks ISD in the summer of 2015. It was offered during multiple one hour sessions across two days. The goal was to give teachers ideas on how to utilize technology to support higher order thinking through SAMR. My Partner and I gathered our information through our own classroom practices and research. We applied adult learning theories to engage our audience.
The course was delivered in person at a district learning conference during the summer of 2018. It was a choice session for learners. The goal of the course was for reading and writing teachers to walk away with new ways to integrate technology into their classrooms.
My partner and I focused on a few newer applications (at the time) that allowed teachers to have a variety of ways to utilize them with their students. The goal was to promote higher order thinking within the reading and writing classroom. As we developed the presentation, we applied adult learning theories to engage our audience.
This course was delivered in person at a district learning conference during the summer of 2019. It was a choice session for learners that was offered for multiple sessions.
The goal of this session was for teachers to reflect on their current teaching practices after learning about effect sizes. The session taught educators that making learning visible and providing clarity to students is the most effective practice. Teachers were then able to apply their learning in a hand-on portion where they created their own learning map for students to see and utilize during their learning.
